Make an Animated GIF using Camtasia.

Hi guys in one of my post i showed you how to make an animated GIF image using GIMP software.But in that article i showed you how to  make an animated GIF image by creating new layers and i have not shown you how to make an animated gif from a video.So in this post i am going to show you how to grab an animated GIF image from a video using Camtasia.So lets how to do this.

Steps:

Requirements:

  • Camtasia (Any version).
  • A video(to extract an animated GIF from it).

1.Open Camtasia and select the video from which you want an animated GIF. You an do this by going to File>Import Media and select the video and click open.
2.Now if you don't find any thing under the track section just drag the video in to it and you will see the screen as shown below.

3.Now cut off the unwanted portion in the video using the Red and Green button(Here Green button indicates the Start of the video and Red button indicates the End of the video.) and click on the "cut button" beside the Zoom bar as shown below.

4.After selecting a portion of video which you want as GIF image,click on "Produce and Share" option at the top.

5.Now from the pop up window select "Custom production settings"  and click on Next.Now you will see  a list,from the list select "GIF" and click on next and after that leave the setting as it is in "Animated GIF encoding Options" and click next and leave the remaining things as it and click on Finish and you will see a small window named as Rendering project.If you are confused you can see the screen shot below.

6.After completion of the above process you will find the GIF image in your respective folder.
7.You can view the GIF image by opening it in a browser.
